ConQuest

ConQuest 2024 is a 5-day self-catering tenting-con from August (31.07. – 04.08.2024)

and takes place around Brokeloh near Hannover.

Since 2004, the ConQuest has been held annually in August on the fantastic playground Brokeloh, near Hanover. In 2024 we are looking forward to a new experience, numerous adventures, interesting plots, great character driven gameplay, a city that never sleeps or stops celebrating and magical ambience.

The ConQuest 2024 is a grand LARP event where about 6000 players, 2000 non-player characters and some fantastical creatures meet every year in August to breathe life into the magical world of Mythodea. More than 1000 storylines, puzzles and adventures have to be solved with brains, brawn and skill to steer the fate of Mythodea in one direction or another.

Anyone who has ever imagined what it would be like to go into battle as a knight, to live as a powerful mage or to be sung of as a noble lady by brave warriors is in the right place in live role-playing, because here you can do exactly this and so much more! Every year, our team transforms a knight’s estate in the middle of Germany into a fantasy world for you to immerse yourself in for a weekend with the help of elaborately constructed backdrops, carefully planned sceneries, effects and numerous ambitious extras. Meet fascinating characters, celebrate in the medieval taverns or pit yourself in swordfighting and leave all the worries of everyday life behind you for five days!

Campaign Setting

For a long time, the fog around Mitraspera, your home, was considered impenetrable. But the Construct, once created by the Boundless to keep a passageway to the south closed until the time of vengeance came, has been shut down. Slowly, layer by layer, a narrow path is now peeling through the fog toward Sarkan, the southern continent. It is supposed to take a year, enough time for all sides to prepare, even those who linger in the shadows, defeated, for now …

What awaits you in the In-between, in the dome itself, this so powerful magical phenomenon capable of bending space and time? You must be well prepared not to get lost in the fog and find your way to the other side, in an environment where magic is wild and unpredictable. Here it will take every single one of you: cunning scholars and brave warriors, lightning-fast messengers and talented mages, and of course, bards who chase away despair with their singing.

Venture into the unknown once again, face the forces of the Dark Alliance, discover the way out to the south – and find the mysterious Third Sister who promises salvation to your suffering homeland of Mitraspera!

Paramedics

The Johanniter paramedics team will be directly on site 24 hours a day.

Don’t be afraid to visit them even for minor health problems like wasp stings, because that’s what they are there for. In case of an emergency, please inform an SL, who will immediately make sure that Johanniter – possibly with an ambulance – can reach you. For this reason, there are rescue routes that must be kept clear to ensure that the ambulance can get through everywhere. Please be aware that every trip back from the hospital or in case of minor injuries from the event area to the hospital has to be organised by yourself. We can only recommend a taxi company that is available at a reasonable price for such a trip.

Waste Disposal

Like last year, we will set up (very large) marked garbage containers at the edge of the site, where you can easily get rid of your garbage.

Please put your garbage into the containers and do not put it in front of them.

Theft

Do not leave valuables unattended, because opportunity makes thieves.
OT theft on LARP is rare, but it is still best to lock away your valuables, e.g. in the car.

Outside delivery at the ConQuest

Deliveries by external service providers are not permitted at ConQuest or any other Live Adventure event.
External service providers who do not have a contractual agreement with the organiser are also not permitted to enter or drive onto the event site.
As the organiser, we reserve the right to enforce this regulation accordingly and to expel the persons concerned from the premises.
Exceptions to this regulation must be clarified with the organiser and approved by him in writing.

Social Tickets
We would like to introduce you to our charity tickets. These are especially drastically discounted tickets that are meant for people who cannot afford one of our regular tickets for a variety of reasons. While stocks last, these are available in our shop. 25 people can apply for these tickets right from the start – i.e. be put on a waiting list for them. Once a month, we go through the applications and ask for a short, undefined and informal justification by email. No official proof or anything like that is required. This small hurdle is intended to ensure that these tickets actually end up in the right hands. However, we will not check whether what is written to us is true – we simply trust in the honesty and decency of our participants. So it’s certainly possible to get these tickets by fraud, but hey… that would be pretty… well, you know.
If there are more applications than there are charity tickets, the order will decide. If more than 500 tickets are sold, we will release more charity tickets. For these, the waiting list will start again.
Hopefully this new possibility will make it easier for one or the other to experience a great LARP with us. We are looking forward to seeing you!

Ticket for people with disabilities

We would like to introduce our tickets for people with disabilities as well as the combination ticket for accompanying persons.
We would like to offer these tickets in order to lower the barriers to participate in our event.
The model is not perfect yet, but we are constantly improving it! If you have any questions or comments, please send us an email at regie@mythodea.de.

Tickets for people with disabilities (GdB75)
Tickets for people with disabilities are specially discounted tickets intended for people who have a degree of disability of at least GdB 75 or more.
This degree of disability must be proven at the check-in on site with the help of the severely disabled person’s ID card. We kindly ask people from abroad to contact us by e-mail, as the regulations may be different there.

Accompanying person ticket
The accompanying person ticket is intended for all persons accompanying a person with a disability who has the symbol B on their passport. The degree of disability of the person to be accompanied is irrelevant. Only the B mark must be present on the ID. It is also important that both persons must be participants in our event. This will also be checked at the check-in on site. We ask people from abroad to contact us by email, as the regulations may be different there.

Beginner's Experience

The perfect package for first-timers – The Beginner’s Experience!

For all those who have just discovered LARP or are traveling the world of Mythodea for the first time, we offer the perfect introduction with the Beginner’s Experience: Workshop+Story

In four exciting workshops on Tuesday and Wednesday, even before the official start of the event, you will learn everything you need to know about LARP in general and the world of Mythodea in particular. We will also give you tips and tricks on acting, make-up and safe fighting with foam weapons.

The story part of the Beginner’s Experience aims to introduce you to the world of Mythodea and the event in a playful way. Think of it as the tutorial level of a video game!

Ingame, you arrive with our international faction, the Crimson Sails Company, an influential, respected, but somewhat shady organization of merchants and sailors. Unfortunately, you are in debt to this group, so you are sent out to carry out various tasks for the merchants – which means you will get around a lot!

Always with you is your personal logbook, in which you’ll find your character sheet, various quests, cheat sheets for LARP rules, as well as factions and locations at the event – and plenty of space for notes and pictures!

No idea what to wear? With the Beginner’s Experience: Garment ticket, you’ll receive a basic outfit to get you ready for your adventure. Details on the garments will follow!

You can find the Beginner’s Experience tickets here: https://skald.com

Early Arrival

Early Arrival

As an alternative to regular arrival, you can use the early arrival to get to the site up to three days before the start of the game.

From Sunday to Wednesday there is no game yet, but since many merchants and taverns are already open, you won’t be bored if you come early.

Early arrival is possible from Sunday, 28.07.2024, 12:00 – 21:00

On all other days from 10:00 am.

You can find the early arrival tickets here: https://skald.com

Accomodation

Accommodation is in tents that you yourself bring with you and which are suitable for the ambience of the event. If you don’t have a medieval looking tent, you can camouflage a “normal tent” with linen sheets or nets, so that it no longer looks like a modern day plastic tent. Get advice from experienced players in our forum. Unfortunately we cannot offer central sleeping places, but the last years have shown that many players organize themselves into community tents through our forum. If you don’t know where you can sleep, just have a look there.

Please note in your camp planning that we calculate a maximum of 15m² per participant. This is the total area per quarter, this does not give entitlement for each individual.

The allocation of the tent site is based on the registration for a camp, a quarter or a group. Registration will be possible from spring 2023. Those who have not registered for a specific quarter by then will automatically be allocated to a quarter.

Directions to the ConQuest

ConQuest takes place from 31.07.2024 at the Brokeloh, 31628 Landesbergen, Germany.

For those who arrive by train, the nearest train station is in Nienburg. The bus from there to Brokeloh is line 50, it runs about every hour and takes about 30 minutes.  It is advisable to draw the bus driver’s attention to your destination, otherwise the buses often do not stop in Brokeloh. From there the ConQuest will be signposted.

The Tenthotel: Garrison Inn

For many international LARPers, but also for German LARPers, traveling to the ConQuest, setting up the tent and getting ready is associated with a lot of stress.

This is where the“Garrison Inn” tent hotel comes in:

Garrison Inn is your larp camping plug’n’play solution that will make your life easier!

When you book a spot in the tent hotel, you will have a tent put up for you, equipped with a field bed, sleeping bag & access to power and a few more small perks.

Furthermore, the tent hotel is located in the amazing Tross, surrounded by shops, merchants, food stalls, guilds and more, located close to the battlefield and outpost, so in other words, smack in the middle of everything.

And don’t worry about what happens after, you just pick up your garb and gear, and leave the tent to us.

All you have to do then is LARP.

Garrison Inn Room Size Price
Tenthotel single excl. player ticket 449€
Tenthotel double excl. player tickets 849€

Catering

The ConQuest is a self-catering con. In addition, many food stalls in the Tross area offer you a variety of goodies. As an additional service you will find a supermarket directly on the grounds.

Self Catering

All players and NPCs are self-catering. Fires may be lit at designated fireplaces or in fire bowls you brought yourself, (NOT on the ground) at a sufficient distance from the forest or bushes.

Supermarket

Our supermarket on the premises has everything you need. From basic foods such as noodles and rice, meat and sausage products or dairy products to fresh fruit and vegetables or fresh bread rolls, everything is offered here at moderate prices. You can also buy hygiene products and there is also ice cream! It is also possible to order almost everything.

Stalls in the Tross

In addition, there is again the possibility to get a variety of medieval and exotic food at one of the numerous stands in our baggage train. Beyond that, however, the retinue offers even more: Numerous dealers for everything the knight or bard’s heart desires – from armour to drinking cups and all kinds of everyday stuff. In between there are large and small taverns where everything is served that strengthens body and soul after a leisurely stroll or into the early hours of the morning.

Taverns

In the many different taverns on the grounds you can relax with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, hold important meetings or weddings and simply celebrate a little with the right musical accompaniment.

Minors

In general there is no age limit at ConQuest. Minors and their guardians are kindly requested to observe the following rules.

Minors in Battles

Parents or guardians of underage participants must always be within reach during battles or combat situations, as well as in the tavern area. Children under the age of 14 are generally not allowed to participate in battles.

The following Rules apply within the Taverns:

Children under 14 years are allowed to stay out till 22:00, teenagers under 16 years until 23:00 and teenagers under 18 years until 24:00.

We reserve the right to expel the parent or guardian and his/her child(ren) from the event if this rule is violated.

Participation Rules for Minors

Participants from 0 to 6 years of age do not need to register and do not have to pay anything.

Participants from 7 to 13 years pay half of the current player ticket price and must book a junior player ticket.

All underage participants need an adult and legitimate supervisor to attend the event and supervise them.

Animals

All dogs must be registered for the ConQuest.

For this we have set up a dog ticket in the ticket sales at https://skald.com/

The dog must be checked in with the e-ticket at the check-in.

WARNING

At ConQuest there is an absolute muzzle and leash obligation. In case of non-compliance, the dog owner with the dog will be expelled from the event.

Poisonous Animals

Snakes, spiders or other poisonous animals are prohibited at ConQuest.
